On Friday, May 2nd, as part of the Mayworks festival, you'll have a rare chance to hear SANFRANDISCO spin a set of FULL MOON classics! Japanese/Korean/East Asian R&B, Hip-Hop, House and Pop grooves will be played alongside some current club favourites. Take this Job and Funk It is a high-octane Asian Youth Cabaret with performances by poets, spoken-word artists, rappers, comedians, and musicians on labour issues, anti-globalization, and the celebration of Asian Heritage Month. The stand-up line-up includes: hip hop poet Dean Raphael Rhyman; poet Lean Lee; Much VIBE hip hop feature Masia One; Mayworks alumni Maewon; big boots contributing editor Sou Thammavongsa; comic Kironmoy Datta; knock-you-out Lal; beat box throw-down Jugular and jp Sunga; VOX host Shane Azam; and soulful Gurpreet Channa.

Post-performance party features the sweet sounds of East, Southeast and South Asian music spun by Sanfrandisco, DJ Malika Shara and I Am Robot and Proud. Come and funk it up and party for the cause in celebration of Asian Heritage with MCs Mariko Tamaki and Oporajito Bhattacharjee. This an age of majority event; ID is required.
